Workshop findings: The following DTC may be stored night vision control module, J853 (address word 0084): DTC B2000F2 (control unit faulty) static. The DTC cannot be deleted. Technical Background There is a software issue in the night vision control module. Production Solution New software in the night vision control module, J853 (address word 0084) addressed the condition. Service The following applies to A6 (C7), A7 (C7), and A8 (D4): 1. Check the software part number of the night vision control module, J853 (address word 0084) via vehicle self-diagnosis. 2. If the software part number of the installed night vision control module, J853 (address word 0084) (Figure 1) is listed below, replace the night vision control module with 4G0907547D. 4G0907547 or 4G0907547A Figure 1. Software part number. 3. If replacing the control module via ODIS, no further action is required as the new module will have the latest software (version 0121 or higher). Replacement part must be suffix D or greater. The following update applies to all vehicles: SVM Update Instructions 1.
