OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves performing a wiTECH Misc-Function routine, for proper operation of
the Tire Pressure Monitor (TPM) feature.

NOTE: This bulletin applies to vehicles within the following markets/countries:
NAFTA.
NOTE: This bulletin applies to vehicles built on or before July 10, 2015 (MDH
0710XX) equipped with Tire Pressure Monitoring Display (Sales Codes XGM).
DISCUSSION:
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
The customer may notice that the TPM lamp is illuminated. On further inspection the
technician may find Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) C1012-88 TPM Sensor Location
Undetermined - BUS off, and/or C1015-88 Front/Rear Tire Pressure Sensor Location
Undetermined.
DIAGNOSIS:
Using a Scan Tool (wiTECH) with the appropriate Diagnostic Procedures available in
TechCONNECT, verify if any DTCs are set. If DTCs or symptom conditions, other than the
ones listed above are present, record the issues on the repair order and repair as
necessary before proceeding further with this bulletin.
If the customer describes the symptom/condition listed above or if the technician finds the
DTCs, perform the Repair Procedure.
REPAIR PROCEDURE:
NOTE: If other TPM DTCs are set, this repair procedure will NOT correct all of the
customer concerns. Normal diagnostics need to be performed.

1. Connect the wiTECH to the vehicle and go into the Misc-Function under TPM tab.
NOTE: If the routine cannot be found, the scan tool doesn’t have the latest software
level.
2. Perform Misc-Function routine named “Reduce TPM Localization Threshold”. Follow
all scan tool screen prompts.
3. Clear any DTCs that may have been set performing this routine.
