PRODUCTION CHANGE INFORMATION: The new bolts were incorporated into all models listed above at the 2019MY start of production (SOP). PART INFORMATION: Description FLANGE BOLT Part Number Applicability Quantity 901000468 SIA-Built Models 28376SJ000 Japan (SBR)-Built Models 4 per Side REMINDERS: • Always order the most up-to-date replacement parts based on the specific VIN being repaired. • These bolts are One-Time Use items and MUST be replaced with new whenever they are removed. Bulletin Number: 05-68-19; Date: 03/04/19 Page 1 of 3 Identification for Bolts Used On SIA-Built Models (Legacy, Outback, Impreza, Ascent): Identification for Bolts Used On Japan (SBR) -Built Models (Crosstrek, WRX, BRZ): SERVICE PROCEDURE / INFORMATION: Customer satisfaction and retention starts with performing quality repairs. The service procedure for servicing the front hub assembly remains unchanged EXCEPT for the revised torque specification on SIA-built models as supplied below. Always refer to the applicable Service Manual and review the full requirements of the repair being performed. The Service Manual procedures contain information critical to performing an effective repair the first time and every time. This includes but is not limited to: important SAFETY precautions, proper inspection criteria, necessary special tools, required processes and related one-time-use parts needed for a complete and lasting repair. VERY IMPORTANT: Due to the following torque specification change, these bolts should never be mixed to avoid an under/ over torque condition on any one or more bolts. Any remaining inventory of p.n. 901000449 should be scrapped. • When replacing these bolts on a SIA-Built model (Legacy, Outback, Impreza, Ascent), the torque specification has been CHANGED from 85 Nm (62.7 Ft. Lbs.) to 126 Nm (92.9 ft. lbs.). • On Japan-built models (Crosstrek, WRX, BRZ), the torque specification remains UNCHANGED, 95 NM (70.1 ft. lbs.). Continued...
