Fix As Fail - Model 320/520 May Require a CECU Update and Wiring Repair

Introduction
Peterbilt has determined in certain Models 320 and 520 vehicles built with NAMUX software part
numbers P30-1032-XXX and not updated to P30-1030-XXX (-109 or greater) in the field require
an ESA update.
A CECU software update has been released; reference 03-067 for the CECU update procedure
to version P30-1030-XXX.
After the CECU has been updated to P30-1030-XXX, use procedure below to modify the seatbelt
warning circuit or the seat belt warning will be active in the display regardless of seat belt
status.

Fix As Fail
Follow the procedure on bulletin 03-067 to verify NAMUX software and install the software
update if required.
Follow the procedure below to modify the seatbelt warning indicator harness to fix the
persistent seat belt warning indicator.

Warranty
Through standard warranty or for repairs completed by 04/01/2020, Peterbilt will pay for labor
to correct wiring (software updates, file under 03-067):
0.3 hours labor to find and label the wires for the persistent seat belt indicator. File
a quick Claim Code 03-065.
File an additional claim for extraordinary circumstances. A quick claim for standard
labor must be filed first.
