46 Electronic parking brake warning light on 46 19 13 2039187/2 June 24, 2019. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 46 number 14-98 dated December 3, 2014 for reasons listed below. Workshop findings: One or more of the following DTCs is stored in the electromechanical parking brake control module, J540 (address word 0053): DTC C100E01 (Right parking brake motor voltage supply electrical error). DTC C100E12 (Right parking brake motor voltage supply short circuit to B+). DTC C100D01 (Left parking brake motor voltage supply electrical error). DTC C100D12 (Left parking brake motor voltage supply short circuit to B+). These DTCs are often sporadic and the concern cannot be reproduced in the workshop. Service 1. Inspect electromechanical parking brake motors V282 and V283 and their electrical connectors for any damage. 2. If no damage is found on the parking brake motors or on their wiring, and if both of the following conditions are present, replace the electromechanical parking brake control module (J540): At least one of the DTCs listed in the Condition is stored. The concern cannot be reproduced. Note: Do not replace the electromechanical parking brake motors V282 and V283, as they are not the cause of the condition. Warranty Claim Type: 110 up to 48 Months/50,000 Miles. G10 for CPO Covered Vehicles – Verify Owner. If the vehicle is outside any warranty, this Technical Service Bulletin is informational only.
