Volvo Cars is constantly improving in-car systems and the services offered to customers to ensure that you get the best experience from your car. Your most recent service included a software upgrade to your vehicle that contained the improvements and modifications listed below. • Improved logic for rear seat belt reminders. The audible signal will stop when the vehicle stops and re-start when the vehicle is moving. • Changed optimization for engine noise compensation. There is a slight change in sound. • Improved feedback for Pilot Assist: Under certain conditions, the steering wheel vibrates slightly when Pilot Assist steering assistance is disconnected. Adaptive Cruise Control will remain active. This is the same vibration that is used for Lane Keeping Aid when the vehicle is starting to veer over the lane markings. May, 2019 VOLVO CAR USA, LLC. • Amended messages in the driver display (12-inch) for the Start/Stop function: A start/stop symbol has replaced the texts "READY" and "OFF." Note that this is not applicable to Twin Engine models. The Start/Stop function switches off the engine temporarily at a standstill and then starts it automatically when needed. Previously, a message was shown in the tachometer when the function was available. This has been replaced with the following symbols when the function is available: White – Displayed in the tachometer when the function is available but the engine is running (vehicle is in motion) Green – Displayed in the tachometer when the function is active and the engine is auto-stopped. Gray – When the symbol is grayed out with a line through it, the function is not available. If no symbol is shown, the Start/Stop function is switched off in the Functions menu. Example: The function is available and the engine is auto-stopped. May, 2019 VOLVO CAR USA, LLC. • Updates to Apple CarPlay: o Simplified start-up after an iPhone has been connected. o Visual notification of incoming text messages and other notifications from an iPhone. • Improved software in Tuneln: more channels will work. • Improved searching of points of interest (POI) in the navigation system. • Performance and stability improvements to the infotainment system. • The timing for the vehicle’s approach lighting has changed: the old software was set to 30 seconds; the new software has it set to 120 seconds.
