BECM Setting P3049-A2
Customer Voice:
– Vehicle will not charge
Technical Description:
– P3049-A2 is stored in the BECM for EV Battery Charger- High Voltage Supply Circuit.
Vehicle may have performance concerns, range reduced warnings or charging
concerns
Status:
– Under Investigation
– Although stored in the BECM, this code describes a bus open fault with the BCCM in
most cases.
– Perform the guided diagnostic- if none is available, test the vehicle on both AC & DC
chargers. Check BCCM HV cables & connector for damage, continuity etc.
– Once the suggested tests are completed, please raise a TA with a session file for
additional direction from engineering. If a replacement of the BCCM is required, hold
onto the parts and provide PRR information for your parts manager in an EPQR.
