Check Engine Light with DTC P2170-11
Customer Voice:
– The Check Engine Lamp is on.
Technical Description:
– DTC P2170-11 is stored in the PCM.
– The active exhaust valve can be heard to operate during start.
Status:
– We are investigating the role that ambient conditions play in setting this DTC.
– SSM 74333 and SSM 74326 have been published which elaborate on the
diagnostic steps to be performed for this DTC.
– Updated PCM software has a revised DTC strategy which removes the
restricted performance flag in order to reduce the impact to the customer.
– Raise an EPQR for any vehicle exhibiting this condition and include results of all
diagnostic steps performed. The vehicle can be released back to the customer.
