P01E6 Coolant temp sensor
Customer Voice:
– The check engine lamp is illuminated
Technical Description:
– DTC P01E6 is stored in the PCM for coolant temperature sensor 3.
– Coolant temperature sensor 3 is the engine block coolant temperature sensor.
Status:
– Perform inspection of the circuit between the sensor and PCM paying close
attention to pin fit and tension, ensure wires have continuity and do not drop
voltage. Test the continuity of the sensor while installed in the cooling jacket.
– If the sensor tests electrically open, replace the sensor. Raise an EPQR and
provide a name, email address, and phone number of someone who can serve
as the point of contact for the shipping company to collect the original sensor.
