This bulletin provides information related to the Engine Control Module (ECM) software logic update

You must initially perform the GDS ECU Update in Auto Mode.
 If the ECU Update starts but then fails in Auto Mode, perform the update in Manual Mode to
recover.

ECM UPDATE FOR TL 2.0L DTC P0128
WARNING
GDS Vehicle Battery Voltage Warning:
If voltage is below 12 volts as per the below GDS warning, then select Back and
operate the vehicle in Ready mode for at least 20 minutes to ensure an adequate
battery state of charge for reliable update results. Turn ignition back on, and then retry
the ECU update again.
Service Procedure:
1. Perform GDS software update:


Refer to TSB 15-GI-001 for the detailed tablet-based Mobile GDS ECU update
procedures.
Refer to TSB 15-GI-002 for the detailed PC-based GDS ECU update
procedures.
2. Check for Diagnostic Trouble Codes in the ALL menus and erase any DTC.
3. Erase the DTC in the BlueLink system according to TSB 12-BE-005-2.
4. Confirm normal vehicle operation.
