Description
01.jpg
Seat belt guide dirty. The dirt visible here can stop the seat belt rolling up properly.
Remedy:
1.
2.
Remove dirt deposits on seat belt using a dry cloth or a soft brush then clean seat belt (see AP91.40S-1000-01A).
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Check guide slot of belt guide on B-pillars or passenger seats for soiling, and clean if necessary (see AP68.30S-1000-01A).
Note: When cleaning the seat belt guide bracket, observe cleaning instructions for seat belts in the owner's manual! Use cleaner for plastic parts. Only treat the belt guide, not the seat belt!
3.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------If the cleaning does not bring about any improvement, replace the corresponding seat belt.
Information: To do so, refer to the corresponding WIS documents.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Note: As the dirty seatbelt condition is a result of customer misuse, any replacement of components or the invoicing of
material or wage costs under warranty or goodwill in connection with the situation described in this TIPS document is
not permissible.
