CAUSE The fuel tanks do not have any baffles. REMEDY Fit fuel tanks with integrated baffles. MEASURE TYPE The scope of work is to be carried out at the next workshop visit (WA). As fuel needs to be drained so that the fuel tanks can be exchanged, the vehicles should be brought into the workshop with as little fuel in the tanks as possible. DEFECT PART HANDLING The GALA (warranty parts processing) stipulations are binding. Workshops without GALA should scrap the defect parts immediately after the repair. Details... Procedure 1. Open the sealing caps on the fuel tanks and extract the fuel using a suitable extractor. 2. Remove guard plates (1) under the fuel tanks. M47.10-0030-71 3. Place a suitable receptacle under the fuel tanks. 4. Open drain plugs (4) on the fuel tanks and drain the remaining fuel. M47.10-0032-71 5. Remove all lines from the fuel tanks. 6.
