Service Technical Information 93/19 ENU 5590 5 Vehicles With Comfort Access: No "Close tailgate with foot gesture" function from model year 2020 (93/19) Model Line: Cayenne (9YA/9YB) Model Year: As of 2018 Equipment: Comfort Access (I-no. 4F2) Tailgate comfort opening (I-no. 4F6) Tailgate comfort opening (I-no. 4E6) Subject: Comfort Access - Tailgate foot gesture control Information: From model year 2020, foot gesture control can only be used for opening the tailgate on vehicles with optional "Comfort Access" (I-no. 4F2) and "Tailgate comfort opening" (I-no. 4F6/4E6). It is no longer possible to close the tailgate with a foot gesture on these vehicles. The availability of the functions for opening or closing the tailgate using foot gesture control depends on the model year of the vehicle. Information Important for working on vehicles in the workshop: In the event of repairs, automatic coding of the tailgate and rear-end electronics control units on model year L (2020) vehicles must only be performed when PIWIS Tester release 38.600.010 is available (should be available from week 31/2019).
