Complaint:
Vehicle rocks or lurches once after sitting in park with engine running for roughly 10 minutes
Cause:
When placing the 7G-DCT in park, along with the park pawl engaging, the brakes will be held to increase comfort before applying parking brake.
The service brakes are released and the vehicle allowed to catch on the park pawl when:
-The engine is shut off
-Roughly 10 minutes has passed
-Parking brake is applied
Remedy:
Vehicle is functioning as designed, do not replace parts.
Please advise the customer of the function of this system and suggest to always use parking brake.
