Title: Uneven Brake Pad Wear Between the Inner and Outer Pads on Hydraulic
Brake /Pin Slide Vehicles
Applies To: 1000, 3000, 4000s CE 200 CE 300 built after 1/2004
Resolution:
1. Check the caliper slide pins and caliper for free movement.
2. Check to ensure that the caliper slide pins are within specifications
3. Check caliper pistons for binding
4. Replace any worn pins or calipers
5. During reassembly clean the pins with non-abrasive solvents and re-lubricate with Shell Albida PPS-1
grease 2585384C1 (3 oz. tube).
Recommended brake pads:
On vehicles under 26,000# GVWR install the light duty lining HX-402. Use axle set part number
2508013C91 for 66 MM calipers, and axle set part number 2508014C91 for the 73 MM calipers.
For vehicles over 26,000# GVWR install the International aftermarket lining 7610. Use axle set part
number ZJCMKD 786A for 66 MM calipers, and axle set part number ZJCMKD 786 for 73 MM calipers.
