Perceptible rattling / clattering noise at idle and/or at 2000 rpm.

Cause:
This is a systemic operating noise from the high-pressure pump which occurs when it is regulating the fuel quantity.
To check that this is the case, the quantity control valve can be disconnected; it should not then be possible to hear
the noise. The noise does not cause any damage to the high-pressure pump or the pump drive.
Remedy:
It might be possible to reduce the noise by checking the installation position of the high-pressure pump.

Please do not replace any component parts as this is a series production configuration. Should the engine noise be
different from the example in the attachment, a PTSS case must be created.
