Technical Support OTC 3890 Brake Fluid Tester 1928 USA Only This bulletin is being released as a companion bulletin to compliment ATI 1902. Porsche Special Tools & Equipment in working with our Quality Engineering group at PCNA has made the decision to change the status of using the OTC 3890 Brake Fluid Tester from recommended to a minimum required tool for every Porsche Dealer Service Department. The reason for this change is for standardization for all of the dealer body. Additionally, there are too many different ways to test brake fluid for its vitality. The boiling method has proven to be the best method. This method complies with SAEJ1703, ISO4295 and the US Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard(FMVSS)116. This method was chosen because of its ability to work for all of our GT cars and the new All-Electric Taycan. The OTC 3890 will be autoshipped starting CW45/19 November 4, 2019.
