Service Technical Information 05/19 ENU WKA5 2 WKA5 - Checking Fill Level Sensor for Water Spray System and Replacing it if Necessary (Workshop Campaign) Vehicle type: 911 GT2 RS (991) Model Year: 2018 Subject: Fill level sensor for water spray system Information: There is a possibility that the float for the water spray system fill level sensor can stick at both the lowest and very top position due to unfavorable component tolerances on the affected vehicles. • • If the float sticks at the lowest position, the warning message "Fill coolant reservoir for charge-air cooler - Visit workshop" will be displayed in the instrument cluster even though the reservoir for the water spray system is still sufficiently full. If the float sticks at the very top position, the reservoir will subsequently become empty and no warning message will be displayed. As a result, engine power will be reduced and the pump can be damaged. Remedial Action: Check the date of production on the water spray system reservoir and replace the fill level sensor if necessary. Affected Vehicles: Only the vehicles assigned to the campaign (see also PCSS Vehicle Information). There are 684 vehicles affected in the US and Canada AfterSales Oct 22, 2019 Page 1 of 5 2 Service WKA5 ENU Technical Information 05/19 Installation position: Installation position of water spray system 1 2 – Water spray system reservoir – Fill level sensor Parts required Parts Info: No parts are required for checking the date of production.
