Complaint:
Engine in limp-home mode
Fault 123900 set in CDI control unit.
Rpm limited to 75% after engine restart.
Cause:
A) Fault thresholds in engine software too low
B) Leakage in air system (intake/exhaust side)
C) High exhaust backpressure
Remedy:
A) Install current engine control unit (CDI) software. (DAS version 03/2013 or higher)
B) If CDI control unit has latest software - check charge air system for leaks (CDI6 common rail - List of all guided
tests - Check charge air system for leaks)

C) If there are no leaks in the charge air and exhaust systems - check / verify exhaust back pressure
- Should the problem re-occur after the above remedies are applied please create a PTSS case and attach the following documents:
1. Quick Test
2. CDI6 control unit log
3. Performance data
4. Engine repair history (with part numbers and exchange dates)
5. Customer statement on occurrence of problem
