Bulletin No.: Service Bulletin Date: 19-NA-236 October, 2019 TECHNICAL Subject: Binding and/or Clunking Noise Heard While Operating the Front Door Windows Brand: Model: Chevrolet Express GMC Savana Model Year: Breakpoint: from to from to 2018 2020 - - Engine: Transmission: - - Involved Region or Country North America, Middle East and Israel Condition Some customers may comment on a binding and/or clunking noise heard when operation the front door windows. Cause This condition may be caused by insufficient grease in the window regulator clock spring. Correction Apply M-77 Paste to the clock spring windings following the procedure below. Service Procedure 1. Remove the front side door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement in SI. 5422043 5422036 2. Using an acid brush, apply M-77 Paste to the clock spring windings, as shown in the pictures above. Note: It may be necessary to apply pressure to one side of the spring to open a gap for paste. 3. Test the window to ensure that the noise is gone. 4. Reinstall the front side door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement in SI. Copyright 2019 General Motors LLC.
