Condition
Some customers may comment on a binding and/or clunking noise heard when operation
the front door windows.
Cause
This condition may be caused by insufficient grease in the window regulator clock spring.
Correction
Apply M-77 Paste to the clock spring windings following the procedure below.
Service Procedure
1. Remove the front side door trim panel. Refer to
Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement in SI.

2. Using an acid brush, apply M-77 Paste to the clock
spring windings, as shown in the pictures above.
Note: It may be necessary to apply pressure to one
side of the spring to open a gap for paste.
3. Test the window to ensure that the noise is gone.
4. Reinstall the front side door trim panel. Refer to
Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement in SI.
