TCM= Transmission Control Module
Due to an internal can bus data error in the TCM, harsh garage shifts may occur at P-R, R-D, N-D. New
improved TCM SW is planned to be released 2017w22 in production and service.
Follow advice under “service”
SERVICE:
If you have a customer complaint at this time, perform a TCM reload. This will reset the values of the
TCM and improve shift quality.
VEHICLE REPORT:
Yes, please submit a Vehicle Report if the service solution described in this TJ has no effect. Use
concern area “Vehicle Report” and sub concern area “Support not needed”, use function group 4370.
