On 2016-2020 model year Prius and 2017-2020 model year Prius Prime vehicles follow the
recommendations when performing the HVAC odor maintenance service using A/C Power Foam
Evaporator Cleaner & Refresher.
RECOMMENDATIONS
Cover the area under the HVAC unit – Perform this step before HVAC evaporator cleaning process
is started.
1. Remove the trim components under the HVAC unit.
A. Remove Lower Center Instrument Cluster Finish
Panel Sub-assembly (RM Step #23).
B. Remove front No.2 Console Box Insert (RM Step #28).
2. Cover the area under the HVAC unit and its surroundings.
*Recommend Industrial Absorbent Pads to cover.
