Technical Background The Jetta Hybrid, may have the faults 16344 014, 16353 014, 02614 014, stored in Power Steering Control Module J500-. Also, “No assist in hybrid mode“ may be displayed. SVM 3143 fixes the faults but an adaptation update is required to match the hybrid. Service If needed, update the -J500- using SVM 3143. After the update, check adaptation channels; Channel 1 – 0, Channel 2 – 0, Channel 3 – 2, Channel 4 – 0 or 2, Channel 5 – 0, Channel 6 – 0, Channel 7 – 1, Channel 8 – 0, Channel 9 – 0. Change the channels as necessary. Once the adaptation channels have been set and basic settings performed, test the operation of the steering in Hybrid Mode to verify repairs. If after setting the adaptation channels, there is now a fault 03075 “Parallel parking assistance control module -J791- no signal/communication”, change channel 4 from a 0 to a 2.
