Service Technical Information 148/18 ENU 3405 3 Complaint - Longitudinal Movement of Shift Lever During Load Changes (I-no. 486): No action required (148/18) Revision: This bulletin replaces bulletin, Group 3, #148/18, dated November 20, 2018. This revision includes the addition of the 911 Speedster (991) model. Model Year: As of 2016 Vehicle Type: 911 R (991) Equipment: 6-speed GT sports manual transmission (I-no. 486) Subject: Shift lever Information: The shift lever can move in longitudinal direction during load changes in 4th gear. Information • The state-of-the-art motorsport design of the shift mechanism may result in more than expected shift lever movement. • The amount of movement may vary from vehicle to vehicle due to multiple factors including component tolerances. • This movement does not impair the function or service life of the manual transmission. In the event of a customer complaint, inform the customer about this behavior. No further action is necessary.
