Cause This message does not mean there is a fault with the vehicle. The purpose of the message is to alert the driver that the Lane Keep Assist system has NOT detected active steering input from the driver (hands off the steering wheel). Correction: Note: At NO point should the driver operate the vehicle with their hands removed from the steering wheel, as serious injury or death could occur. Focus your attention on driving. Moving the steering wheel will dismiss the alert.
