Please perform the procedure outlined in this Service Information on all affected vehicles before customer
delivery. In the event the customer has already taken delivery of the vehicle, please perform the procedure
the next time the vehicle is in the shop.
This Service Information Bulletin (Revision 3) replaces SI B11 14 19 dated November 2019.
What’s New:

AFFECTED VEHICLES
Vehicles which require this Delivery Stop Recall Campaign to be completed will show it as “Open” when
checked either in AIR, the "Service Menu" of DCSnet (Dealer Communication System) or with the Key
Reader.
SITUATION
BMW of North America, LLC has issued a Delivery Stop (effective November 4, 2019) on certain Model Year
2019 and 2020 BMW vehicles that were produced between July 20, 2018 and November 2, 2019.
There is a possibility of contamination in the engine.
CORRECTION
To avoid the risk of engine damage, the engine oil and engine oil filter will need to be replaced.
PROCEDURE
Vehicles with 1,200 miles or less on the odometer
Replace the engine oil (claimed in sublet) and engine oil filter per Repair Instruction 00 00 252 BMW engine
oil service without supplementary service and generally without resetting the CBS data
Note: Flat rate labor operation 00 00 252 is for reference only. Do not use it for the claim entry here.
For vehicles with either a Recommended, Due or Bundling Eligible Engine Oil Service Task, please
refer to the Warranty Information section below for additional information.

Perform a CBS data reset.
Create a RO line item to claim the engine oil change, engine oil filter and oil in sublet as outlined in
this Service Information Bulletin as follows.
