Read this entire procedure before beginning work.
Use Safe Shop Practices at All Times.
To avoid personal injury:
a. Proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn. Safety glasses and
protective gloves are required for working with DEF Fluid.
b. Turn the main battery disconnect switch to the OFF position.
c. Ensure that both the front and the rear wheels are chocked.
d. Positioning the ENGINE RUN and ENGINE START switches on the engine
compartment remote control box to the OFF position.
e. Allow enough time for components to cool down prior to working in the engine
compartment.

Replace the engine oil pan protector

Description
Motor Coach Industries (“MCI”) is instructing customers facing issues with a low pan
protector profile to follow this procedure to replace it with a new model with high ground
clearance.

Torque seal, MCI P/N: 15G-1-43.

Procedure
Remove and save the 4 bolts and nuts securing the pan protector. Save if any shims are
present and discard the pan protector.
Remove and save the
nuts, bolts and shims.
Install the new pan protector using the nuts and bolts removed in the previous step. Use
the shims as required between the coach body and pan protector. Torque the nuts to 100120 Ft-Lbs.
Existing nut, bolts and
shim.
Apply torque seal, MCI P/N: 15G-1-43, to all four nuts after torqueing.
