Replace with page 3 Page 3 of 3 TSB−13−35−001 The following information replaces the information shown on page 2. 1. Remove the two flange bolts to loosen the caliper body. 2. Lift the caliper body and the parking brake rear cable to put them aside. Support them with a wire to prevent damage to the brake hose or parking brake cable. 4. Clean the piston part and rotate the piston clockwise while pressing it into the cylinder using the special tool piston expander (MB991621). 5. Set the piston as shown so that the protrusion on the pad assembly rear face is engaged in the piston stopper groove. 6. Assemble the shim, brake pad assembly and clip to the caliper support and tighten the two bolts to the specified torque as shown. Tightening torque: 35 + 4 N.m (26+ 3 ft. lb.) 3.Remove the following parts from the caliper support. (1) Shim (2) Brake pad assemblye (brake pad and wear indicator assembly) (3) Clip NOTE: Observe the following when you install the brake pad assembly. S. Mount the Brake pad with the wear indicator to the inside of the vehicle. S. Projection behind the brake pad assembly should be seated in the groove of the piston.
