The technician may nd P1098 and/or P26BB set current or history. This may be caused by a software anomaly, GM is currently looking into the issue. Correction: Note:For 2019MY vehicles equipped with the 2.0L LSY refer to 19-NA-022 first, to verify the vehicle has the most current level of software. Check VIN history to determine if one or both of these codes have previously set in the ECM. If the vehicle has set either code previously, replace the Coolant Flow Control Valve. If the vehicle has not set either code previously, perform the latest SI diagnostic for the code. If the SI diagnostic fails to isolate the root cause, do not replace the Coolant Flow Control Valve. Clear any codes and return the vehicle to the customer. If either code is set current, and the SI diagnostic isolates the root cause to the Coolant Flow Control Valve, replace the valve and perform the scan tool control function: Engine Coolant Control Valve Mode. The value should increase and decrease according to the command in the scan tool. Clear any codes and return the vehicle to the customer. In the event that the customer returns with either DTC set a second time, replace the valve and perform the scan tool control function: Engine Coolant Control Valve Mode.
