Technical background
Please refer to the instructions within the Measure section of this TPI to check/confirm if the insulation pad is damaged prior
to replacement
IMPORTANT: In the event the insulation pad is found to be at fault please refer to TPI 2058277/1

Measure
1) Should dust or debris be evident on the pad, attempt to clean the pad using a cloth and a suitable vacuum cleaner (if available).
•
If NO dust and/or debris is evident after cleaning DO NO T REPL ACE the pad
•
If dust and/or debris is still evident after cleaning REPL ACE the pad
2) In the event the insulation pad is as shown in Figure 1, the insulation pad MUST be replaced - Refer to Rep.Gr 61 - NOTE: The issue shown
in Figure 1 relates to an issue with the insulation pad rubber retainer
IMPORTANT: The instructions within TPI 2058277/1 MUST be adhered to when replacing the insulation pad

3) Referring to Figure 2 (Point A) - Check and confirm the insulation pad plastic paddles are not broken – missing or damaged IMPORTANT: the
operative should confirm the paddles are flat, not bent or broken at any location
NOTE: The insulation pad in Figure 2 is shown not fitted to the vehicle for (photographic purposes only) there is no requirement to remove the
insulation pad to inspect
IMPORTANT: There is no requirement to replace the insulation pad should the plastic paddles not be broken - missing or damaged the example
shown in Figure 2 is to specification and exhibits no issues
