Customer states:
 “Reduce Oil Level” message shown in the instrument cluster.

“Drive system: malfunction!” message shown in instrument cluster with engine rpm restriction.
Workshop findings:
 Engine oil level is not found to be over maximum using the dipstick. See ELSA for oil level specifications for
each applicable model.
Note:
If engine oil level is found to be above MAX specification, this TSB does not apply and refer to TSB 2054893: 01
Engine oil level is too high, "Please reduce oil level" message in the instrument cluster.
Correct the oil level per ELSA specifications and evaluate vehicle condition.
Technical Background
Software may be too sensitive to maximum oil level warning.

1. Follow all instructions in TSB 2011732: 00 Software Version Management (SVM), operating instructions.
1. Update the engine control module (ECM), J623 (address word 0001) using the SVM action code as listed in
the table below, if necessary:
