Note:
The stainless steel skid plate gives the Macan a customized look and makes it appear even more
powerful and dynamic.
The stainless steel skid plate is available separately under the optional equipment item "2JC" and in
combination with the stainless steel rear panel under the optional equipment item "2JX", also for new
vehicles ex-works.
The combination with the stainless steel rear panel is recommended.

Release the tabs from the center of
the front apron in the sequence A,
B, C and D using a plastic spatula
( Figure 4 -arrow a-). Carefully
pull the skid plate downwards at the
same time ( Figure 4 -b-).

When guiding out the (inner) tab,
the (outer) tab moves inwards (
Figure 5 -arrow-).
The skid plate can only be guided
out of the front apron without
damaging it irreparably from
position  Figure 5 -B-.

close to the six mounting points (
Figure 8 -inset A-) and the center
( Figure 8 -inset B-) using a
cutter (Stanley knife).

Secure stainless steel skid plate.

Bend the rear holders by 180° (

Press retaining lugs down by
approx. 30° ( Figure 12 -inset-).
Counter using flat-nosed pliers or a
similar tool.

First guide the (outer) tab at the left
and right ( Figure 14 -3-) into the
front apron  Figure 14 -arrow b-.

front apron from the outside in until
the inner tabs engage.
The (outer) tabs slide into their end
position ( Figure 14 -a-).

Ensure that the power supply is not interrupted during programming.

Connect a battery charger with a current rating of at least Nominal value 90 A to the vehicle
battery.
Information
The 9900 - PIWIS Tester III instructions take precedence since the description may be
different with later Tester releases.
The procedure described here has been structured in general terms; different text or
additions may appear on the 9900 - PIWIS Tester III.
3.2
Maintenance of vehicle data.
3.2.1
9900 - PIWIS Tester 3 must be connected before switching on the ignition.
3.2.2
Select the required vehicle type. PIWIS Tester II Diagnostics starts.
3.2.3
Select Additional menu by pressing •F7“. Press •F11“ to confirm the question
"Create vehicle analysis log (VAL)?".
3.2.4
Select the "Maintenance of vehicle data" function.
Press •F12“ until "PR numbers" appears in the Value group column.
3.2.5
Select "Bumper" in the Family column.
3.2.6
Open drop-down menu and select "2JC – Comfort bumper (front panel)". Press
•F12“ to continue.
3.2.7
A table containing the values to be changed appears.
Save the values by pressing •F8“.
Wait until "Generation of vehicle data is complete........" appears.

Press •F12“ to switch to Report management.
Open the log by pressing •F10“ and check whether vehicle equipment "2JC –
Comfort bumper (front trim)" is entered. Close the log.

Read out the fault memories of all systems, work through any existing faults

Switch off ignition and disconnect 9900 - PIWIS Tester 3.
