Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. PARTS BULLETIN No: 54-US-01-13 SUBJECT: 2013 OUTLANDER SPORT FUEL GAUGE HARNESS Date: APRIL 2013 Model: 2013 Outlander Sport AWD PURPOSE Due to improper part selection during the assembly process, certain 2013 Outlander Sport AWD vehicles may have been built without the installation of the fuel sending unit harness for the subsending unit. This may result in a false fuel tank reading. As a result, the vehicle operator may believe the vehicle still has ¾ of a gas tank of fuel when the tank is in fact empty. Reference Safety Recall Bulletin SR-13-005 for more details and remediation. AFFECTED VEHICLES: Certain 2013 Outlander Sport AWD vehicles built before December 12, 2012. IMPORTANT Affected new or used inventory vehicles must be repaired before the vehicle is delivered. Dealers must check their inventory vehicles’ VINs on the Warranty Super Screen to verify whether the vehicle is involved in this recall campaign. It is a violation of Federal law for a dealer to deliver a new motor vehicle or any new or used item of motor vehicle equipment (including a tire) covered by the notification under a sale or lease until the defect or non-compliance is remedied.
