Symptom/Vehicle Issue: Power Lift Gate Opens 1 To 2 Feet Then Closes
Discussion: An intermittent power lift gate operation complaint could be due to
water intrusion in the gate harness. Inspect the pass-through grommet at the top of the
lift gate for being fully seated. If found not seated- inspect inside the grommet and gate
for signs of water. Water could track down the harness and enter the power lift gate
prop assembly. If there is water in the power lift gate prop replace it and the harness.
