This TSB supersedes 19-BD-006H Front Seat Noise Repair and 17-BD-003 Front Seat Tilt Pipe
Housing Replacement to include wobble movement as a possible condition.
Description: Some vehicles may experience seat noise and/or possible wobble movement from the
seat bottom when the vehicle is turning. This bulletin describes the procedure to install an e-ring clip
to the tilt pipe housing on the front seat.

Service Procedure:
1.
Adjust seat back (A) forward and move seat
forward to furthest positions using seat
switch (B).

Pull the rear seat track covers (C) backward
and remove them.

Remove the 14MM mounting bolts (D) on
each side.
NOTICE
Tightening Torque: 49.0~63.7 Nm
(5.0~6.5 kgf.m, 36.1~47.0 lb-ft)

Move seat backward to furthest position.
4.
Lift the front seat track cover (E) and
remove the 14MM mounting bolts (F) on
each side.

Tilt the seat (G) back as shown to the right.

CAUTION
Do not pull on lower seat
harness when tilting seat.

Move the seat cushion upward to the max
position using the seat controls for the seat
cushion.

Inspect the gap (J) between the tilt housing
(H) and pipe edge (I) on both sides of seat.

Insert the E-ring (K) between the tilt housing
(H) and pipe edge (I).

Using a flathead screwdriver, insert the
E-ring completely.

Tap lightly using a hammer to ensure E-ring
is in place.
11.
Install up to 3 E-rings until the gap is no
longer present.
NOTICE
Driver/Passenger seat: Maximum
of 3 E-rings each side of seat.
12.
Place seat down and move the seat
cushion 3 times up/down and confirm
repair.
Reinstall components in reverse order.
