 Engine warning lamp on.
 Running problems.
 Engine difficult to start.
 Engine runs erratically.
Workshop findings:
 The customer concern can be reproduced.
The following DTC is logged in the engine control module (ECM), J623 (address word 0001):
 DTC P310B00 (low fuel pressure control, fuel pressure outside tolerance) fault type 2 with symptom code
2637.

Note:
Try to reproduce the customer concern so that it can be clearly assigned to this TSB. The following repair must
only be carried out, if all the criteria (model/type, chassis number, engine/gearbox code, PR number(s), part
number, software version etc.) match exactly. Otherwise this solution won't work and repeat repairs may be
necessary.
In such a case, claims for repeat repairs will be subject to review.
1.
Ensure that DTC P310B is not caused by low fuel through one of the following options:
a. Faulty fuel sender.
b. Faulty siphon pump.
c. A lose connection within the tank.
2.
Replace the fuel pump according to the repair manual, if a, b or c do not apply.
Note:
Replacement of the fuel pump control module, J538 or the fuel pressure sender for low pressure (G410) will not
resolve the customer’s concern.

 110 up to 48 Months/50,000 Miles.
 G10 for CPO Covered Vehicles – Verify Owner.
