Workshop findings:
The following DTC is stored in the engine control module (ECM), J623 (address word 0001):
 DTC P254000 (Low-pressure fuel system sensor circuit range/performance) active static or sporadic.

Service
1. Verify the customer MIL on concern, the following procedure will only address DTC P254000.
2. Do not complete the Guided Fault Finding test plan for DTC P254000.
Note:
Replacing the low pressure fuel sensor will not solve this issue.

3. Read the Measuring Value Block IDE01887 (adaptation of the fuel pump) and save the value in a diagnostic
log.
4. Then replace the low fuel pressure pump according to the ELSA repair manual and if possible, perform a 15minute test drive.
5. Allow the engine to idle for an additional 10 minutes after the test drive.
6. Once more read the Measuring Value Block IDE01887 (adaptation of the fuel pump) and save the value to
the diagnostic log.
Actions needed based on MVB values after low pressure fuel pump replacement:
7. Transmit the diagnostic log to GFF Paperless.
8. If the measured value is greater than 85kPa, open a TAC ticket, attach the diagnostic log with recorded
Measuring Values, and call TAC for further repair instructions.
9. If the measured value is smaller or equal to 85kPa, return the vehicle to the customer.
