SERVICE BULLETIN APPLICABILITY: 2019-20 Ascent NUMBER: 16-128-20 SUBJECT: DTC P0842 / Transmission Harness Interchangeability DATE: 04/02/20 INTRODUCTION: This bulletin announces availability of a new transmission harness for use when diagnosis of DTC P0842 -TRANSMISSION FLUID PRESSURE SENSOR / SWITCH “A” CIRCUIT LOW determines the sensor itself is OK but the transmission wiring harness is NG. PART INFORMATION: The new transmission wiring harness part number is: 24031AA851. REMINDER: Always order the most up-to-date replacement parts based on the specific VIN being repaired. SERVICE PROCEDURE / INFORMATION: REMINDER: Customer satisfaction and retention starts with performing quality repairs. The service procedures for transmission harness diagnosis and replacement are unchanged. Always refer to the applicable Service Manual and review the full requirements of the repair being performed. The Service Manual procedures contain information critical to performing an effective repair the first time and every time. This includes but is not limited to: important SAFETY precautions, proper inspection criteria, necessary special tools, required processes and related onetime-use parts needed for a complete and lasting repair.
