Service Technical Information 48/20 ENU 4739 4 Noise Symptom - Clicking Noise from Brakes when Changing Direction: Observe Specified Procedure (SY 48/20) Model line: Cayenne (9YA/9YB) Model Year: As of 2018 up to 2020 Equipment: PSCB disc brakes, front (I-no. 1ZI/1ZU) Subject: Porsche Surface Coated Brake (PSCB) Symptom: A clicking noise can come from around the front axle when changing direction of travel or when braking suddenly while driving slowly. Information Please make sure that workshop campaign WKF8 has already been carried out Technical Information 'WKF800 WKF8 Workshop campaign - Replacing PSCB brake pads on front axle and replacing brake pad retainer springs on rear axle'. Cause: During load changes or changes in direction, the brake pads can hit against the brake calliper and cause the clicking noise. Remedial Action: In the event of a customer complaint and if the workshop campaign has already been carried out, attach adhesive pads to the back of the brake pads.
