Symptom/Vehicle Issue: Battery Vent Tube Does Not Align With Some New Battery
Installations
Technician observation: The replacement battery vent tube is not aligned with the original
battery vent tube orientation.
Repair Procedure: The OEM elbow and vent tube does not connect with original vent port on
auxiliary battery.

New Aux Battery: vent port connectivity solution
• Longer vent tube (1) between AGM starting battery vent
port and elbow;
• Longer vent tube (2) between aux battery vent
port and elbow; and
• Existing vent tube new position. (3)
