STAR ONLINE PUBLICATION Case Number: S2008000063 Release Date: 4/30/2020 Symptom/Vehicle Issue: Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) on. Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) P2463 – Diesel Particulate Filter Soot Accumulation, and P2453 – Diesel Particulate Filter Differential Pressure Sensor Circuit Performance Set. Discussion: If you receive a vehicle in with the above DTCs, please follow normal published diagnostics for P2453. During diagnosis, pay close attention to the DPF differential pressure sensor circuits K354, K355, and K951. See (Figure 1) for WK, and (Figure 2) for DS. Trace each circuits for any opens, high resistance, or loose terminal pin fit. Especially through any inline connection. Repair as necessary. This document does not authorize warranty repairs. See (Figure 3) for WK, (Figure 4) for DS. If necessary remove, and clean the ground, and retest for the DTCs. NOTE: Once all wiring has been verified, and any repairs have been made, it may be necessary to perform a Service Regeneration due to DTC P2463. This document does not authorize warranty repairs.
