Information:
The vehicle loses power and noises (whistling) can be heard from the engine compartment. The Check
Engine warning light flashes at times or lights up permanently. This may be caused by stiff or blocked
exhaust turbocharger shafts.
Remedial
Action:
Check the condition of the exhaust turbochargers and replace both exhaust turbochargers with a
modified type of turbochargers if necessary.

Check the condition of the exhaust turbochargers: Turn the compressor wheel with your hand. If it is
stiff or blocked, replace both exhaust turbochargers, see  Workshop Manual '213019 Removing
and installing turbocharger (V8 biturbo)'.
