It is not necessary to remove air lines and plug them with a special tool. The 9YA Cayenne was designed with this
new diagnostic process in mind.
As a result, the old 92A special tool (9825 fitting) doesn’t fit the new 9YA Cayenne.
If a leak is suspected:
•
Check the pressure values of the air circuits in the system.
•
Fill any circuit where the value is below the set point
•
Screen shot the values (a new screen shot can be taken later to show which circuit leaked)
•
Monitor the pressure values of the air circuits at selected intervals such as every 2, 4, 6 hours or more.
•
Once the circuit with the leak is determined, then further investigation to find the exact source of the leak
		may begin.
This is a more efficient method than disconnecting each circuit and installing a tool to isolate that circuit.
Warranty
Be sure to attach relevant screen shots of the pressure values to the job line to support an air leak.
•
Set point pressures put in the vehicle to start the leak test
•
Actual pressures after X amount of time that shows the leak.
Code the cause of failure and labors according to the diagnosed failure.
