Differential and Transfer Case Diagnosis

There is a noise when turning or accelerating.

Technical Description:

The root cause may be mechanical in the transfer case, differential, prop shafts,
suspension, or mounting points.

Inspect the tires and wheels, ensure they are all the same size.
Perform a thorough inspection of the vehicle suspension, mounts, bushings.
Perform a thorough inspection of the prop shaft, bearings, and joints.
It is normal for oil in a transfer case and differential to get dirty over time and have
evidence of fine metallic particles or clutch material due to normal wear.
Collect the full original oil contents from a differential or transfer case that is
suspected as causing the condition and keep it in a safe place.
Disabling of electronic components within differentials can be used to determine if
mechanical failure exists or if the issue may be driven by a software or calibration.
