sense malfunction indicator light (Figure 1).
 In addition, the message "Pre Sense
malfunction, Pre Sense does not work” or

Workshop findings:
 The function of the front seat belts in case of an accident is not affected.
The following DTCs may be stored in the airbag control module, J234 (address word 0015):
 DTC B130404 (Left front seat belt tensioner control module faulty).
 DTC B130504 (Right front seat belt tensioner control module fault).
 DTC B130408 (Left front seat belt tensioner control module signal/message malfunction).
 DTC B130508 (Right front seat belt tensioner control module signal/message malfunction).
 DTC B130455 (Left front seat belt tensioner control module not configured).
 DTC B130555 (Right front seat belt tensioner control module not configured).
Technical Background
Due to a faulty ground connection within the seat belt tensioner control module, the seat belt control module can
be damaged by an electrostatic discharge, resulting in a constant RESET loop.

1. Connect vehicle to ODIS Service and perform GFF.
2. If any of the DTCs are stored in the airbag control module/safety computer follow all applicable GFF test plans.
3. If GFF indicates that the left front and/or right front seat belt tensioner(s) is/are defective, replace the affected
front seat belt(s) as outlined in the repair manuals and by following the replacement plans in ODIS Service.
