P1640
Faulty Control Module
Technical Background
Possible P1640 fault may set after Engine-Motor Control Module -J623- replacement. This code may not be
cleared from DTC memory.
Service
1. Disconnect both battery cables for 15 minutes to allow for capacitive discharge.
2. Reconnect battery cables.
3. Check DTC Engine-Motor Control Module -J623- memory.
Note:
For battery cable reconnect refer to Repair Manual Group 27 “Battery, Starter, Generator, Cruise Control” in Elsa.
