7) Test all 4 diodes: +EB-D70LA, +EB-D70LB, +EB-D70PA and +EB-D70PB
a) Remove the diode from the connector. Look at the printed diode symbol on the top of the diode to
determine the anode and cathode sides for reference.
b) Select a multimeter with a « diode check” function.
c) Touch the red (positive) lead to the diode anode side and black (negative) to the cathode side. A
result between 0.5 to 0.8 volts means the diode is working (forward bias test).
d) Reverse the polarities of the multimeter leads on the diode (reverse bias test), the multimeter
reading should read OL (open loop).
e) Replace the diode (PN: 12135037) if steps c or d fails using level 2 BOM.

8) Test the ADV coil resistances: see following slide for schematic.
With the diodes removed it is possible to test each valve coil resistance using:
Valve 1: Diode D70LA pin B, Wire 72-032 and ground.
Valve 2: Diode D70LB pin D, Wire 70-035 and ground.
Valve 3: Diode D70PA pin B, Wire 70-036 and ground.
Valve 4: Diode D70PB pin D, Wire 70-039 and ground.
Coil nominal resistance and tolerance: 42 ± 2 Ohms
If the valve falls out of this specification, the coil will have to be replaced. Please see
Haldex repair instruction letter L31168.
Once all valves pass the resistance test,
9) Trip breaker G to ON position.
10) Test the drain valves functionality using the test switches on the rear engine box.
11) Bus can be returned to service.
