Bulletin No.: PIT5759 Published date: N/A Preliminary Information PIT5759 Service Safety Restraints System With DTC B14DC SYM 1B and/or 13 Product Investigation Review Required Models Brand: Model: Model Years: VIN: from Engine: to Transmissions: Chevrolet Tahoe 2021 All All All All GMC Yukon 2021 All All All All Involved Region or Country North America Additional Options (RPO) Condition Cause AYQ Some customers may comment on a "Service Safety Restraints System" message displayed on the DIC. When checking for DTCs, a B14DC symptom 1B and/or 13 will be set in the K36 Restraints Control Module. This DTC is for an open or high resistance in the F106DA Driver's front seat inboard airbag deployment loop. Unknown Correction: Currently, GM engineering is investigating this concern. In the meantime here is what we know: - At this time, GDS2 is not able to monitor the F106DA Driver's front seat inboard airbag deployment loop resistance and currently can not be used. An update to GDS2 will be released soon to correct this concern. - If unable to duplicate the concern, it may duplicate if the technicians sits in the driver's seat and applies pressure to the inboard side of the seat back with his/her back. - Inspect seat inline connector X310 to make sure it is fully seated, as well as to make sure the CPA is locked. Also check for any loose or backed out terminals. - Inspect the F106DA Driver's front seat inboard airbag connector (shown below) to make sure it if fully seated tightly up against the airbag (1). Also, make sure the orange CPA if fully seated (2). - If no issues are found disconnect the F106DA Driver's front seat inboard airbag connector and inspect for loose or backed out terminals. If no issues are found, then cycle the connector by reconnecting and then disconnecting it 2 or 3 times. - Reconnect the connector and test to make sure the vehicle is repaired. - This PI will be updated when more information is available. Warranty Information For vehicles repaired under the Bumper-to-Bumper coverage (Canada Base Warranty coverage), use the following labor operation. Reference the Applicable Warranties section of Investigate Vehicle History (IVH) for coverage information.
