Correction:
Currently, GM engineering is investigating this concern. In the meantime here is what we know:
- At this time, GDS2 is not able to monitor the F106DA Driver's front seat inboard airbag deployment loop
resistance and currently can not be used. An update to GDS2 will be released soon to correct this concern.
- If unable to duplicate the concern, it may duplicate if the technicians sits in the driver's seat and
applies pressure to the inboard side of the seat back with his/her back.
- Inspect seat inline connector X310 to make sure it is fully seated, as well as to make sure the CPA is locked. Also
check for any loose or backed out terminals.
- Inspect the F106DA Driver's front seat inboard airbag connector (shown below) to make sure it if fully seated
tightly up against the airbag (1). Also, make sure the orange CPA if fully seated (2).
- If no issues are found disconnect the F106DA Driver's front seat inboard airbag connector and inspect for loose
or backed out terminals. If no issues are found, then cycle the connector by reconnecting and then disconnecting
it 2 or 3 times.
- Reconnect the connector and test to make sure the vehicle is repaired.
- This PI will be updated when more information is available.
