Symptom/Vehicle Issue: ESC Cluster Warning Lamp On, DTC B1783-01 Stop Lamp Control
Circuit General Failure
Customer Complaint/Technician Observation: Owner complains the ESC (Electronic
Stability Control) warning lamp is on. Condition may have appeared after a recent service operation.
Technician observed the lamp on with DTC B1783-01 Stop Lamp Control General Failure setting in
the ABS module.
Repair Procedure: Inspect the up-fitter accessory 2 wiring take out for proper harness routing or
signs of routing damage in the harness take out general location Fig 1, 2.
