PURPOSE
Indian Motorcycle has identified several accessory related considerations affecting 2019 Indian Motorcycle models.

• Performance Air Intake (2882519) – California Only
• Black Dial Face Speedometer and Tachometer (2883443) / Black Dial Face Speedometer (2883444)
• Thunder Stroke® High Flow Air Intake (2880654-156/266)

2019 Indian Scout / Indian Scout Sixty / Indian Scout Bobber models have not yet received the necessary approval
from the California Air Resources Board (CARB) for use of the Performance Air Intake (2882519) accessory in the state
of California. Indian Motorcycle will notify dealers when the Performance Air Intake (2882519) accessory and
calibrations are approved. Until calibrations are approved by CARB, this accessory should not be installed on 2019
Indian Scout / Indian Scout Sixty / Indian Scout Bobber models in the state of California. This accessory can be
installed on all 2018 and earlier Indian Scout / Indian Scout Sixty / Indian Scout Bobber models in the state of
California.

2019 Indian Motorcycle models, if equipped with either the Black Dial Face Speedometer and Tachometer (2883443)
or Black Dial Face Speedometer (2883444) accessory, require the Digital Wrench ‘Vehicle Controllers Update’ to be
performed. 2019 Indian Motorcycle models that have been fitted with either accessory, but not reflashed, have limited
mode functionality. Kit instructions will be updated to reflect this change going forward.

2019 Indian Motorcycle 111ci engines use a larger air intake manifold than previous model years. When installing a
Thunder Stroke® High Flow Air Intake (2880654-156/266) accessory on a 2019 Indian Motorcycle, it is necessary to
order Airbox Gasket (5633754) to facilitate the proper installation. It is not necessary to order Airbox Gasket
(5633754) if you are installing this accessory with the 116 kit. See below for warranty claim information.
WARRANTY CLAIM INFORMATION
The Airbox Gasket (5633754) will be covered by Part Stock (PS) warranty until the kits are updated to include the new
gasket. This Team Tip will be revised once the updated kits begin to ship. The updated kits should be available by
early-November 2018.
Use the following process for filing a Part Stock warranty claim for Airbox Gasket (5633754):
1. Start a new Part Stock warranty claim.
2. Select Product Line: IND.
3. Enter today’s date into the Date Failed and Date Repair information fields.
4. Enter Indian I-18-09-01 into the CONCERN field.
5. Enter Indian I-18-09-01 into the CAUSE field.
6. Enter Indian I-18-09-01 into the CORRECTION field.
7. Enter the part number and quantity.
8. Enter warranty fail codes: 140/280/165
9. Validate the parts.
10. Save and submit the claim to Polaris.
